About the Role The Student Services Officer role is customer service focused, administrative and clerical. They are one of the first points of contact for students, parents and staff and is responsible for efficient and effective day-to-day coordination of administrative support. The Student Services Officer will primarily support one sub-school (either Early Learning, Junior School, Middle School or Senior School) or the Health Centre. The position holder will need to be able to work independently, as well as in a team environment. This role is to work primarily in the Health Centre and is responsible for the day-to-day support, including administrative duties, of the School Nurse as well as ensuring students and families feel welcome and comfortable when accessing services in the Health Centre. This role will be term time only. Your working hours will be 7.30am to 3.30pm. Key Relationships School Nurse Members of the Executive and Pastoral Care teams Teaching and support staff Students, parents, carers and their families Visitors to the Health Centre Responsibilities Student Services Maintain student details in Synergetic/Seqta and file student records appropriately. Forward any significant information regarding student absences, including holiday requests and long-term absences, to the appropriate staff members. Maintain records of ‘going home arrangements’ for students and inform appropriate staff. Administration Ensure security, integrity and confidentiality of data. Work with the Student Services Team Leader for guidance and support. Triage Students Assess students for order of treatment by School nurse. Assist the School nurse as required. Assist with Senior First Aid as required. Administration (Additional) Responsible for all Administration support to the School nurse. Receive visitors to the Health Centre and make them feel welcome. Provide clerical, administration and reception support as required including: Printing Medical reports for excursions. Assisting with collation of medical forms for School camps/excursions. Inputting medical data. Other Support Support the Student Services Officers in other sub-schools in a backup capacity. Act as a Communication Officer during lockdowns or evacuations. Other administration duties, which may arise as determined by the members of the School Executive Team or Student Services Team Leader. Welcome students, parents, staff and visitors with professionalism. Adherence to office policies and procedures. Implement procedural and policy changes to improve efficiency. Ensure that the work area is clean and neat. Work with a customer service focus. Qualifications and Experience Current Working with Children Check. Knowledge of SEQTA and Synergetic an advantage. A Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check current to within 6 month prior to commencement of employment at St Mark’s. Must have current first aid training. Training in treating students with Asthma, Diabetes, Epilepsy and Anaphylaxis. Be supportive of the Christian ethos of the School. Applications for this position close at 9am on Friday 19 December.
