Working at CQUniversity CQUniversity’s School of Health, Medical and Applied Sciences is seeking an experienced academic to support the growth and development of our distinctive Safety Sciences courses. This position plays a key role in delivering and developing curriculum across multiple study levels, drawing on a broad knowledge of safety sciences and a commitment to applied, industry-aligned education. You will contribute to CQUniversity’s renowned Safety Sciences programs, which include highly regarded offerings in Occupational Health and Safety and Fatigue Risk Management. We’re looking for someone who brings innovative teaching approaches and is confident using digital tools and technologies to enhance student learning. Alongside delivering high-quality teaching, you will engage in research that makes a meaningful impact in the field of safety sciences. Demonstrated senior-level industry experience in Safety Sciences. Expertise in risk management, safety systems or Occupational Health and Safety law. Proven ability to teach and supervise students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including curriculum design and multi-modal delivery. A track record of applied research in Safety Science and the integration of research outcomes into teaching practice. Position Requirements – additional for Senior Lecturer A completed (or near completion) PhD in Safety Sciences or a closely related discipline. Proven experience in team leadership. Expertise in developing engaging teaching resources and fostering collaboration with industry and community partners.
