Rehabilitation Case Manager Location: Canberra Employment Type: Non-ongoing (6 months) and 6 month labour hire opportunities available Classification: APS6 equivalent About the Role We are looking for an experienced Rehabilitation Case Manager to join our team in Canberra for a 6‑month assignment. You will play a key role in supporting injured or ill employees through their recovery and return‑to‑work journey. This role involves coordinating workplace rehabilitation programs and ensuring a smooth, timely, and sustainable return to work. Key Responsibilities Initiate, coordinate, and monitor workplace rehabilitation programs for injured or ill employees. Connect and collaborate with all stakeholders involved in the return‑to‑work process. Promote the health benefits of good work and early intervention strategies. Encourage employer commitment to rehabilitation and facilitate early intervention. Assist employers in providing suitable employment options for recovering employees. Engage and manage workplace rehabilitation providers when appropriate. Coordinate responses to requests for information regarding the employee’s injury, illness, and rehabilitation progress. Maintain accurate records and ensure completion of all relevant workers’ compensation documentation. About You Mandatory: Baseline Security Clearance and Australian Citizen Comcare claims or rehabilitation case management experience is essential Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport. Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities. Knowledge of workplace rehabilitation principles and relevant legislation. Empathy and resilience when supporting individuals through challenging circumstances.
