Strong Fathers Programme Mentor (For children 0-12 years) Join us as a Mentor and make a real difference in the lives of Aboriginal fathers and their children. We require a friendly male mentor to assist on Thursdays (flexible hours) ongoing support and mentoring will be provided Responsibilities Connect with Aboriginal dads (with children aged 0-12) each Thursday Listen and chat with fathers to identify their strengths, needs, and goals Encourage self-worth by sharing ideas and practical strategies Support and mentor dads as they develop the skills and confidence to manage independently Link dads with adult-focused and community services when needed Collaborate with the Strong Fathers Worker and community organisations Inspire others by helping grow local male leadership and peer support Qualifications Good listener who values respect, cultural awareness, and community Believe in the importance of strong fathers and positive family relationships Are committed to empowering others and walking beside them through change Enjoy being part of a supportive team making a difference Availability over 1-2 days would be advantageous Let's get the ball rolling- Apply today Category Homeless Commitment Regular - more than 6 months Type Of Work Childcare, Counselling & Help Line, Education & Training, Time Required Every Thursday and additional days when programmes are been held.
