We’re growing fast and we want you to be a part of it We are looking for a dedicated Transport Allocator to join our team on a parental leave contract up to 12 months. Position Overview The Transport Allocator / Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of rail and road freight activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards, operational efficiency, and customer service excellence. This role plays a critical part in maintaining smooth terminal operations and fostering a strong safety culture within the organisation. Key Responsibilities Supervise terminal operations, ensuring all work procedures and safety protocols are strictly implemented. Manage accurate and safe loading and unloading of containers on road transport vehicles and rail wagons. Coordinate road transport operations for timely pick-up and delivery of freight to and from customer sites. Drive initiatives to strengthen and embed a robust safety culture across the organisation. Liaise with broader Rail teams to achieve operational objectives and collaborate with other departments as needed. Monitor performance metrics and implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance operational efficiency. Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications & Skills Expert knowledge and in-depth understanding of Rail and Freight best practices, standards, and systems. Strong business partnership skills with the ability to influence and communicate effectively. Ability to engage with employees at all levels to promote and ensure best practice behaviour.
