The Opportunity We're seeking a Transition & Continuous Improvement Manager for a Defence maritime maintenance contract in Cairns. You'll lead strategic initiatives, manage transitions, and drive continuous improvement for enterprise-wide impact. Your Role 1. Phase In (Transition) Management Develop and execute comprehensive transition plans. Align with client standards to ensure smooth service delivery. Spearhead sustainable and profitable improvement strategies. Innovate for overall program enhancement. 3. Ramp Up and Down Planning Manage the complexities of change management during critical business change (ramping) phases. Coordinate effective execution of these plans. Provide detailed reports on innovation initiatives. Communicate progress to stakeholders. 5. Joint Relationship Management Develop plans to strengthen stakeholder relationships. Align with client values and commitment. Plan and manage the phase-out of services (end of life) with a focus on contractual adherence. Who You Are Experienced in Continuous Improvement Management, preferably in Defence or commercial sectors. A skilled change manager and communicator. Someone who can develop ideas and communicate these with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. A leader skilled in team management and transition in dynamic environments. Qualifications Tertiary qualification with significant relevant experience (Ideal). NV1 Defence security clearance or eligibility. Lean / Six Sigma Training / Experience. (Desirable) Expertise in organisational design, change and program management. Skills Self-motivated, detail-oriented leader. Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
