Risk and Compliance Analyst - Asset Finance JS Careers have been engaged to recruit a Risk & Compliance Analyst for a global asset finance company, in Sydney. The successful applicant will play a critical role in supporting the company’s risk management framework and compliance obligations. This role ensures that the business operates within its risk appetite, complies with relevant Australian legislation and regulatory standards (including ASIC, APRA, AML/CTF, and Privacy), and maintains robust controls across its operations. Key Responsibilities Support the development, maintenance, and monitoring of the organisation’s Risk Management Framework (RMF). Conduct regular risk assessments, control testing, and risk reviews across key business processes. Assist in maintaining the Risk Register, ensuring risks are accurately identified, assessed, and monitored. Prepare and deliver periodic risk reporting to senior management and governance committees. Analyse operational incidents and near misses; provide insights and follow‑up on remediation actions. Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Compliance Framework in line with relevant legislation. Conduct compliance monitoring, thematic reviews, and internal audits to ensure adherence to regulatory and policy obligations. Assist in maintaining the company’s compliance obligations register and ensure timely execution of compliance tasks. Requirements 2 – 5 years experience in a risk, compliance, audit, or regulatory role (preferably in financial services, banking, or asset financing). Strong understanding of Australian regulatory requirements: ASIC, NCCP, AML/CTF, and Privacy obligations. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends, gaps, or risks. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear reports for senior management. High attention to detail and a structured, methodical approach to work.
