Do you have a friendly dog? Seeking a friendly Volunteer Visitor (Werribee) We have a lovely female recipient in an aged care facility in Werribee who would love to spend time with you and your friendly dog, walk to the local shops, listen to music and chat. Volunteer visits are usually for an hour and are flexible to work around your schedule. About you We are looking for caring individuals who can sit and have a chat, reminisce and talk about topics of interest with elderly people. Our Volunteer Coordinators will spend time with you to understand your interests and background, and work to match you with a client in a suburb nearby who shares similar interests. Your impact: Volunteering as a visitor is a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits on a fortnightly basis for a minimum of 12 months are required. Visits from volunteers help improve the quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. Your visits will bring great joy and happiness to the recipient you are matched with.
