Role Overview The Desktop Technician will provide advanced technical support for end users ensuring smooth operation of hardware software and network systems. This role involves troubleshooting complex issues performing installations and upgrades managing assets and supporting IT projects across Sydney and Melbourne offices. Key Responsibilities Provide onsite and remote support for desktops laptops mobile devices and peripherals. Diagnose and resolve hardware software and network issues (VPN Wi-Fi wired). Install configure and maintain operating systems and applications. Deploy and image desktops / laptops perform upgrades and support IT projects. Collaborate with internal and vendor IT teams on cross-functional issues. Maintain IT asset records ensure system security and document all activities. Provide user training and guidance to junior technicians. Requirements Bachelors degree or equivalent with 25 years in desktop or IT support. Strong knowledge of Windows macOS Microsoft Office and network fundamentals (TCP / IP DNS VPN DHCP). Experience with imaging deployments and hardware maintenance. Excellent troubleshooting communication and time management skills. Must be onsite 5 days / week in Sydney; occasional travel to Melbourne. Willingness to work occasional nights / weekends.
