Senior Interior Designer – STUDIOJOS Location: Surry Hills, SydneyEmployment Type: Full-time About STUDIOJOS STUDIOJOS is a leading interior design and interior architecture studio known for its refined aesthetic, detail-driven approach and highly curated spaces. Based in Surry Hills and working across Australia, the studio specialises in high-end residential homes, boutique multi-residential developments, luxury commercial spaces, and bespoke interior architecture projects . Our work is defined by timeless materiality, considered planning, and an elevated sense of lifestyle. We collaborate with architects, builders, artisans and suppliers to deliver end-to-end design solutions that push creative boundaries while remaining grounded in functionality and client needs. The Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Interior Designer to join our growing team. This role is suited to a designer with deep industry experience who is confident leading projects from concept through to completion. You will manage and oversee multiple projects simultaneously, mentor junior designers, and ensure all deliverables meet the studio’s high standards for creativity, documentation quality and client service. As a Senior Interior Designer at STUDIOJOS, you will contribute to the creative direction of the studio, champion best practice processes, and represent the brand with clients, consultants and onsite teams. Key Responsibilities Lead interior design projects from initial briefing through concept, design development, documentation and construction stages. Produce high-quality concept presentations, mood boards, FF&E selections, finishes schedules and detailed documentation packages. Oversee project timelines, budgets and client communication to ensure seamless delivery. Manage and coordinate external consultants including architects, builders, engineers and suppliers. Mentor and guide junior and mid-level designers, supporting their professional development. Attend site meetings, design workshops and client presentations. Ensure all design work aligns with the STUDIOJOS aesthetic, ethos and quality standards. Review drawings, resolve site issues and provide construction support as required. Maintain strong knowledge of current materials, industry trends, suppliers and compliance requirements. Required Experience & Skills Minimum 5 years’ industry experience within an interior design or interior architecture studio. Demonstrated experience running high-end residential and/or commercial projects end-to-end. Strong spatial planning, concept development and design detailing capability. High proficiency in AutoCAD , Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), and Microsoft Office programs . Advanced documentation skills with excellent attention to detail. Strong presentation, communication and client-management skills. Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously while working collaboratively within a team.
