Local HR Service Associate (f/m/d)

 

Role Description

Local HR Services Austria provides HR services to SAP Employees in case unique country knowledge is required. We deliver consistent, standardized, and scalable HR services to our employees. We combine local labor knowledge and a deep understanding of processes while supporting efficient and compliant HR service delivery to our customers and partners. We respond to mission-critical People matters and cases, have a consultative mindset and truly care about our people. We are biased towards execution but also partners in global projects and continuous improvement initiatives across all HR.

 

The Local HR Service Associate in Austria is responsible for providing and resolving employee and manager queries, consulting employees, and carrying out operational HR administrative tasks across the whole employee life cycle (from onboarding, contractual changes, and benefits administration to the termination process). In addition, the Associate will need to work closely with the local HR team, collaborate with Payroll and Total Rewards, Data Management, and colleagues from other supporting functions, as well as with the local business units. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Becoming a trustworthy and local people steward for our ultimate and only customer – our employees in Austria
  • Building relationships with HRD, HR Advisors, Data Management, Payroll, and other key HR Specialists in EMEA/MEE to facilitate the delivery of services
  • Be second-level support for HR inquiries coming from employees and managers through our Service Level Agreements
  • Ensure smooth HR Operations and Service delivery in Austria 
  • Onboarding of new hires and related administration
  • Administration of contractual changes
  • Involvement in termination cases
  • Support Benefits Administration
  • Promotion of the distributed HR Operational Model and support of local HR communication activities
  • SAP One pages maintenance and input to the HR knowledgebase 
  • Working with vendors and government agencies to build a relationship with them to ensure we have identified the most compliant, efficient, and effective processes


Education and qualifications / Skills and competencies:

  • Business Degree preferred
  • Knowledge of Austria employment/ labor law/ legislation is a must
  • Quality-driven, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • High level of accuracy with a high attention to details
  • Able to accept and embrace continuous changes and improvement
  • Able and willing to adapt new learnings and tools 
  • Able to plan, work, drive, and own initiatives and independently execute them without supervision in a highly virtual setup
  • Ability to work in a genuinely international team where team members are based in different locations and belong to different cultures
  • Willing and appreciative of ongoing customer feedback to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Professional communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Good knowledge of HR processes and a distributed HR delivery model
  • Experienced to work with confidential and sensitive information  
  • Excellent MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • German language skills, written and spoken fluently, are essential.


Work experience:

  • 1-2 years of work experience in a comparable HR role
  • Strong customer service attitude

 

Desirable:

  • SAP HR system knowledge
  • Experience working in a multinational context, virtual team, and company
  • Work experience in an HR Shared Service environment 

 

The salary, exceeding the collective agreement, starts at a gross amount of €43.078.00 (excluding bonus) and varies according to individual qualifications and work experience.
