Job Purpose:

The role will be responsible for driving the growth and strategic development of Remara's distribution capabilities, with a focus on retail, wholesale, and family office investors across Australia. This role will lead the design and execution of initiatives to expand the firm's market presence, increase assets under management (AUM), and build long-term relationships with key investor segments.

The candidate will leverage their expertise in alternative investments to position the firm as a trusted partner, ensuring that investment solutions align with client needs, market trends, and regulatory requirements.

Leading a team of three, the role will play a pivotal part in fostering a high-performance culture, providing mentorship, and empowering the team to achieve ambitious growth targets. Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders—including investment, marketing, and product teams—the role will ensure that strategic goals are met through effective sales planning, investor engagement, and campaign execution. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of strategic vision and operational excellence, driving both immediate and sustainable business success.

Investor Engagement & Relationship Management:

  1. Manage a team of 3 professionals as the primary contact for retail and direct investors, addressing queries, providing updates, and fostering long-term relationships.
  2. Support investor communication strategies, ensuring investors receive timely, accurate, and insightful information on fund performance, investment strategies, and market developments.
  3. Build and strengthen relationships with family office investors and key HNW and UHNW investors.
  4. Present investment opportunities, strategies, and performance updates to clients and stakeholders.

Communications & Marketing:

  1. Prepare and distribute investor reports, presentations, newsletters, and fund updates to Direct investors.
  2. Organise webinars, investor briefings, and other events.
  3. Collaborate with marketing and product teams to create targeted campaigns, educational materials, and product positioning strategies.
  4. Drive brand visibility and thought leadership through investor events, seminars, and media appearances.

Market Insights & Investor Needs:

  1. Gather and analyse investor feedback to help refine products, services, and communication strategies.
  2. Monitor competitor offerings and industry trends to enhance the firm's investor relations approach.

Performance & Reporting:

  1. Monitor and report on distribution performance metrics, sales targets, and market penetration.
  2. Use data-driven insights to continuously refine strategies and optimise distribution efforts.

Team Management:

  1. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing distribution team.
  2. Set clear goals, measure performance, and provide feedback to ensure team success.
  3. Foster collaboration and continuous development within the team.

Compliance & Documentation:

  1. Ensure that all investor communications comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  2. Maintain accurate records of investor interactions, inquiries, and correspondence.

Qualifications & Experience:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  2. RG146 Certified.
  3. Postgraduate qualifications (e.g., CFA, CAIA) are a plus but not mandatory.
  4. 7+ years of experience in investor relations/distribution within investment management.
  5. Proficiency in HubSpot, financial modelling, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
  6. Proven success in leading distribution teams and driving significant AUM growth.
  7. Deep understanding of the retail and direct investor landscape in Australia.
  8. Prior experience working with retail and direct investors.
