Group Manager Legal | Migration & Citizenship Litigation | CSO Taskforce
In December 2023, the Migration Amendment (Bridging Visa Conditions and Other Measures) Act 2023 (Cth) came into effect. As a result, the Department stood up a newly established Community Safety Order (CSO) Taskforce Branch to administer the Commonwealth Community Safety Order Scheme.
Within the CSO Taskforce, the Reporting, Governance and Relationships (RGR) team was established to provide non-legal support to litigation teams in undertaking case specific work to progress potential CSO applications.
We are a tight-knit team that provides high-level program/project management functions to assist the CSO Taskforce APS and Executive level legal staff by establishing, administering, and implementing the foundations and ongoing maintenance of the reporting, governance and stakeholder management functions, systems, and processes.

Duties and responsibilities
- Reporting - the team progresses regular and ad hoc reporting for senior executives and the Minister's Office, as well as ad hoc reporting on the operation of the CSO Scheme.
- Governance - the team is responsible for administrative documents guiding the operation of the CSO Taskforce and feeding into the other governance documents developed by other teams and areas working on CSO implementation. The team is also responsible for the business administration of the CSO Taskforce, including requests relating to funding/budget and recruitment needs.
- Relationships - The team is the central point of contact for the CSO Taskforce for various internal stakeholders working on the response to NZYQ and the CSO implementation, as well as interactions with external stakeholders to provide insight into the work of the CSO Taskforce.

To be eligible for the position you must be an Australian Citizen.
The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance, and:
- ABF Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).
- Home Affairs Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Onboarding Check.
