Business / Operions Manager - Insurance Works - Make Safe Business

Every once in a while, a market employment opportunity presents that is both career and life defining, and in this instance, an opportunity to deliver building services with a greater purpose.
This is an iconic, National brand that specializes in responding to and remedying crisis events, seeking a Business / Operations Manager to lead a key emerging business unit – the 'Make Safe Building Division.'
With National oversight and 8 reports, you will hold accountability for all performance facets of the business unit (circa $20M turnover) including P&L, in what is a KPI and metrics-driven environment, with formal systems established and stringent reporting requirements in place.
Deliverables include:
- Leading and motivating teams, managing performance and compliance.
- Financial management including meeting invoicing targets (financial KPIs).
- Ensuring Client 'project response-time' requirements are adhered to (performance KPIs).
- Client and Company reporting, including analysis of metrics (reporting KPIs).
- Resource programming and the allocation / management of work volume of subordinates.
- Further growing and establishment of pre-qualified panel suppliers / contractors.
- The ability to decipher, analyze and execute commercial contracts.
- Strict adherence to company safety requirements.
- Capitalizing on growth opportunities presented by aligned business partners / channels.
- Providing professional representation to major corporate clientele, equally demonstrated through strong written and verbal communication skills.
Note: Projects (currently) are typically domestic format up to $20K, though some extension into light commercial works can occur.
The person:
You will be a driven, motivated, and accomplished business professional who can represent a successful track record in leading teams, driving growth, operational performance, compliance, and continuous improvement, ideally in a related insurance / building field.
You will also require a calm, level-headed approach, as major event periods will result in a high volume of work being delivered concurrently.
Stability of tenure throughout your professional career will be highly valued as well as previous experience in metric, time-driven, high volume project / insurance environments.
