DM Plastics & Steel is a leading ISO certified manufacturer and national supplier of high-quality plastic and steel products for the mining, rural, civil, and industrial industries.
With over 30 years of success, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service and innovative solutions to our customers. As we continue to expand our footprint across Australia, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Territory Manager to join our highly experienced team. You will be responsible for driving new business development and acquiring new customers within metropolitan and rural South Australia whilst maintaining strong relationships with our existing customer base.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales growth, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to identify opportunities for expanded offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities in your designated territory through networking, cold calling, and leveraging existing relationships to deliver the company's set sales targets.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to penetrate new markets and increase overall market share.
- Market Research: Conduct market analysis to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences, ensuring you are always one step ahead of the game.
- Sales Forecasting: Prepare and present sales forecasts, track performance metrics, and report on sales activities to management regularly.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Customer Service Centre to design effective campaigns and promotions that will drive lead generation and conversion.
- Customer Feedback: Gather customer feedback and insights to continually enhance product offerings and service delivery. Manage any customer feedback and solve issues as they arise.
- Training: Provide training and support to customers on product usage and benefits, assisting with product selection and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Administration: Manage sales pipelines, update CRM systems accurately, and ensure timely follow-up with prospective customers.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- Formal qualifications in a Business or Sales related field are highly regarded.
- Proven experience as a Sales Representative or Sales Territory Manager, preferably in Water Treatment, Irrigation, Plumbing, Agribusiness, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit and engage new customers while maintaining growth in an existing sales budget.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency with CRM software and MS Office Suite.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the territory.
