Reporting to the Secretary, you will lead Create NSW in driving the state's strategic investment in arts, screen, music, and creative industries, ensuring a strong, sustainable, and accessible cultural sector.

You will drive the implementation of the Creative Communities policy, embedding its principles into strategic planning, funding programs, and sector initiatives. Working closely with government, industry, and community partners, you will shape policies and programs that support creativity and cultural development across NSW.

Your leadership will guide investment decisions, the activation of creative spaces, and initiatives that enhance community and industry outcomes. As part of the Executive Leadership Team of the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism, Hospitality and Sport, you will provide expert advice to the Secretary and Minister on arts and creative industries and drive broader portfolio priorities.

About you:

To excel in this role, you will be a strategic and influential leader with extensive experience in the arts, culture, and/or government sectors. As the head of Create NSW, you will be a great communicator with a strong track record in driving policy and program implementation, cross government or sector collaboration.

You have proven experience in leading complex strategic agendas, managing funding programs, and fostering cross-sector collaboration, including at Ministerial and senior government levels. Your ability to navigate policy and program environments allows you to effectively shape initiatives that deliver meaningful outcomes for the sector and communities.
