We are a specialized vaccine company that focuses on developing, producing, and marketing prophylactic vaccines for infectious diseases to meet medical needs. Our pipeline includes the world's pioneering vaccine for the chikungunya virus, the only Lyme disease vaccine in advanced clinical stages, done in collaboration with Pfizer, and vaccines for the Zika virus and other global health threats.

We are on the lookout for an ESG Specialist to join our newly established ESG-function. The ESG Specialist will have a key role in promoting sustainable and responsible business practices within the company, concentrating on evaluating and enhancing performance in areas concerning environmental impact, social responsibility, and governance practices.

  • Support development of ESG Reporting processes and Sustainability Report.
  • Regularly update existing double-materiality assessment.
  • Assist ESG Director during external verification of Sustainability Report.
  • Collaborate in identifying and analyzing ESG risks and opportunities.
  • Support development of ESG Strategy and cooperate with other functions.
  • Monitor and assess ESG-related programs and policies.
  • Partner with other functions to ensure ESG integration across the organization.
  • Produce reports and presentations on ESG performance.
  • Stay updated on ESG trends and regulations for implementation.
  • Assist in periodically updating ESG profiles and addressing inquiries.
  • Help define and implement necessary cross-functional corporate processes.
  • Engage with internal and external partners to be well-informed about industry practices and regulations.

Requirements

  • University Degree in areas like environmental science, sustainability, finance, economics, business administration, or social sciences
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in sustainability projects, corporate sustainability, or sustainability consulting
  • In-depth understanding of ESG frameworks, standards, and reporting methods; familiarity with sustainable investment principles and ESG rating agencies
  • Strong communication skills to present ESG topics effectively across various levels of the organization; strong analytical skills and IT proficiency
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a virtual/international team

Due to legal requirements, the minimum salary for this role is disclosed at € 35.000 per year gross, based on full-time employment. However, our salaries are competitive and aligned with your skills and experience levels.
