Your future responsibilities:

cooperation between Silicon Austria Lab (SAL) in Villach and the University for Continuing Education in Krems (coordinated and supervised by
Prof.

Hubert Brückl
).

Your tasks include:

  • Independent research and research assistance in the "Magnetic Encoder Systems" project
  • Publishing research findings in international, peerreviewed scientific journals
  • Engaging in international research collaboration
  • Pursuing and submitting a (cumulative) PhD thesis within three years

Your profile:

  • University Master's degree in the fields of physics or equivalent technical study
  • Knowledge in Magnetism (e.g., lecture courses, work experience)
  • Interest in both experiment and simulation
  • Good English language skills (min. B2 level)

In addition, the following criteria are desirable:

  • Previous work experience in academic research
  • Programming skills, e.g., in Python
  • Computational magnetism

Important Facts about SAL:

The offer

University for Continuing Education in Krems
- gross per month on a full-time basis (classification as a scientific project staff member according to collective agreement of universities -49 VwGr. B1)

SAL
Part-time position as project assistant (
10 hours/week) initially limited to 3 years with a minimum salary of EUR 2.681;
- gross per month on a full-time basis (classification as a scientific project assistant in C1 according to collective agreement for non-university research)
