We're on the lookout for an experienced and strategic CMO who is passionate about data-driven marketing, brand-building, and customer engagement. ➤ WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead and empower a team of 25+ marketing professionals across User Acquisition, Influencer Marketing, CRM, Brand Communication, Product Marketing, and New Markets (starting with the US).

  • Develop and execute a strategic, data-driven marketing roadmap, ensuring that growth, brand positioning, and customer retention are aligned with business goals.

  • Manage and optimize multi-channel marketing efforts, including CRM efforts with email, in-app and text messaging, as well as user acquisition efforts with paid social, online advertising, SEO, SEM, influencer partnerships, any new experimental growth channels and leveraging our products and services for marketing.

  • Strengthen and evolve the Journi brand, ensuring a compelling and cohesive identity across all key markets (EU & US).

  • Deeply understand our customers, products and services, and market trends, and translate these insights into effective marketing initiatives.

  • Foster cross-functional collaboration, working closely with the CEO, CFO, CPO and key stakeholders to align marketing efforts with the company's long-term vision.

  • Exchange insights and best practices with a strong network of fellow CMOs and marketing leaders, staying ahead of industry trends and leveraging valuable partnerships to drive growth.

  • Drive customer engagement and loyalty, focusing on increasing customer lifetime value, retention, brand affinity, and conversion.

  • Support and mentor the marketing team, creating an inspiring and supportive work environment where creativity and learning can thrive.

  • Own the marketing budget, from forecasting to execution, ensuring every penny spent is optimized for our efficiency target.

➤ YOUR BAG OF TRICKS

  • 8+ years of experience in marketing leadership roles and scaling marketing efforts within high-growth e-commerce or consumer brands (making min. 100MEUR+ in yearly revenue).

  • Strategic and analytical mindset. You're comfortable working with data, performance metrics (ROAS, CAC, LTV), and forecasting models to guide decision-making.

  • Expertise in performance marketing, including CRM with email, in-app and text messaging, as well as user acquisition with social (Meta, TikTok, YouTube), search (Google Ads, SEO, ASA, ASO), influencer marketing, and TV campaigns.

  • A strong understanding of product marketing, including pricing strategies, in-app marketing, retention programs, loyalty initiatives, and localization efforts.

  • Proven leadership skills. You have the ability to mentor, inspire, and develop a team, balancing high performance with a supportive and collaborative environment that's in line with our culture and values.

  • International experience in European e-commerce, with a good understanding of the US marketing landscape.

  • A strong industry network, including connections with a peer group of CMOs and marketing experts to exchange learnings and stay ahead of emerging trends, as well as key platforms like Meta, Google, and Apple.

  • Ability to balance creativity and data—developing innovative marketing ideas while ensuring they drive meaningful business results.

  • Fluent English communication skills (German is a plus).

  • Experience with out-of-home advertising.

  • Background in mobile-first companies with direct or subscription monetization.

  • Knowledge of affiliate and partnership marketing.

  • Deep understanding of US consumer behavior and media buying.

  • Familiarity with AI & automation tools for marketing optimization.
