Your Opportunity
Reporting to the Chief Executive, Residential Care, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) will provide strategic leadership, oversight, and guidance on aged care operations across the portfolio of care homes to meet quality, compliance, customer, workforce resourcing, and commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Innovating, implementing and refining strategies to transform the Residential Care business unit to ensure that the organisation is positioned to meet the operating requirements of the aged care reforms under the Aged Care Act. This includes delivering operational strategies within the Residential Care management team portfolio that align with Anglicare’s unique value proposition
- Ensuring Anglicare’s residential care portfolio of homes are thriving communities for individuals through the operational integration of ‘Rhythm of Life’, mission alignment, resident engagement and operational excellence
- Participating as a valued member of the executive team with an ethos of collaboration, curiosity and shared learning.
About You
To be successful in this role and organisation, you will possess:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and at least 10 years’ professional experience in a senior leadership capability
- An understanding of the opportunities and challenges in the current and future Aged Care environment
- A proven track record of developing capability and performance across teams
- Adept leadership, influencing, management, team building, communication, consulting, and negotiation skills with the ability to help co-create a high performing culture
- Action-orientated strategic thinking and planning skills with demonstrated ability to adapt when needed
- Strong customer focus, including an understanding and passion for human-centred operating models that span both customer and employees
- Strong commercial acumen with an inherent competitive nature for improvement
- Agility and responsiveness and being comfortable adapting quickly to changing priorities
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
