The significant growth in resources demand driven by the energy transition and population growth, positions Jacobs to be the partner of choice for mining and resources clients. Our Australian based Resources Hub aspires to accelerate a solutions-focused agenda concentrating on project delivery, decarbonising operations, ESG commitments and digital enablement. We are looking for motivated people to lead the organisation through this exciting time and are currently seeking to appoint a Business Development Leader to our Growth & Sales Team based in Perth, Western Australia.
In this role, you will be responsible for drivinggrowthin the Resources Marketwith a focus on offering tailored solutions to our existing and future mining clients. At Jacobs, ourResources strategyis focused onpartneringandcollaboratingwith ourclientsand thebroader Resourcesindustry to develop anddeliversolutionsthat address their majorchallenges today, whilst ensuring we maintain customer affordability andimprove liveabilityin thecommunitieswe serve.
Reporting to the Market Director ANZ – Resources, the successful candidatewill be expected to understand our client’s strategy, challenges, and opportunities, and systematically explore, and innovate to deliver pragmatic solutions. You will consider Jacobs’ capabilities globally and identify market trends to help pre-empt and lead client needs. You will be across the current and emerging trends in theresources industryand be able to formulate and implement short- and long-term strategies to position Jacobs in the market.
Here's what you’ll need:
- Ideally 10+ years of relevant experience, including Consultancy, Sales, Business Development, Client Account Management and/or Operations.
- A tertiary qualification in business, engineering, or a relevant field.
- Experience in Business Development with strong client relationships within the mining industry in Western Australia
- Ideally well networked, connected and trusted in the iron ore mining sector.
- Ability to manage and maintain a solid pipeline of opportunities.
