The Purpose:

  • Support Australian Acquirers, Gateways/PSP, Terminal Providers and Merchants to ensure the highest standard of compliance with eftpos scheme rules and technical standards
  • Support product enquiries from partners and from the Commercial Team
  • Manage compliance, certification and exemption requests across CNP/CP product portfolios.
  • Support the Senior & Lead Product managers in product design, development, implementation and ongoing product management

You will be responsible for:

Support Compliance / Certification processes:

  • Manage exemption requests for non-compliance including assessing the validity of the request; suggesting possible solutions (including potential rule changes) and supporting discussions in internal compliance meetings resulting in an approve or decline outcome,
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders regarding compliance matters – rework, calls, emails etc.
  • Manage reports relating to Compliance & Exemption requests,
  • Suggest improvements for compliance activities / certification to better support acceptance capability for our business and our partners.
  • Support the Certification team with guidance and advice on product related matters.

Support Product Management

  • Provide input into product design, development, implementation and management of products you support; and in doing so actively develop your product management skills,
  • Support the wider product team on new acceptance channels or business development opportunities,
  • Develop, with the reporting teams, appropriate reports and dashboards for monitoring product performance and non-compliance reporting,
  • Develop plans and actions to drive take up and usage of allocated products,
  • Work with the broader AP+ team to develop collateral for the product portfolio,
  • In conjunction with Senior Product Managers develop plans for product enhancements.

Support Product Enquiries from partners and the Commercial Team

  • Manage and resolve internal and external product enquiries including assessing the issue, providing solutions and responding to / closing off enquiries,
  • Support commercial teams on retail acceptance product training as well as product and compliance conversations with clients as needed,
  • Engage with key external stakeholders as required and in conjunction with other key AP+ representatives on specific topics or issues relating to your product portfolio.

In order for you to be successful in the role, you’ll have:

  • Experience
  • 2-5+ years payments experience in compliance and/or certification role and or product management.
  • Technical Experience in supporting or solving problems in payment acceptance environment including fintech, acquirers, terminal vendors, gateways/PSP or payment schemes.
  • Product experience including an understanding of product development and management process
Knowledge
  • Compliance and Certification in a payments environment
  • Understanding product development and management lifecycle
  • Understanding of acceptance trends in the payments market in Australia for either Card Present or Card Not Present environments
Capabilities
  • Relationship management – demonstrated excellence in stakeholder management to drive outcomes. Bonus points for compliance process and terminal / CNP acceptance certification in the acceptance environment.
  • Curious, proactive, self-starting problem solver
  • Strong listening and stakeholder management skills along with a proven ability to work collaboratively to deliver outcomes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and presentation / Powerpoint skills
