D&M Built Pty Ltd, a specialist boutique insurance builder with over 15 years of industry experience servicing the NSW and ACT regions, is seeking an experienced on the road Estimator to join our dynamic & fun company.

We are making massive strides in the industry and we pride ourselves on being a close knit team with a fun working environment.

Due to this growth a fantastic opportunity has opened for those looking for a challenging and varied role. You will work on a diverse range of residential, commercial, and strata projects in the insurance building space. With no two days being the same, this role is perfect for those who thrive on variety and challenge. 

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-site inspections of properties damaged from insurable events (storms, floods, fires)
  • Collate the information from the inspections to provide accurate quotations and reports to justify findings
  • Communicate with insurers, home owners and loss adjusters to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Conduct desktop assessment where possible
  • Meet and exceed client KPI’s
  • Keep up to date with market rates to ensure the company remains competitive
  • Ensure all company systems and client portals are utilised and kept up to date 

Skills and experience:

  • Must have a current and valid drivers license
  • Technical building knowledge essential with either a trade background or proven experience in estimating (5 plus years)
  • Insurance building experience will be advantageous
  • Strong time and organisational management skills with the ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to be empathetic to the needs of the customer
  • Must have experience using a job management system, candidates with experience using Prime Ecosystem will be seen as advantageous 
  • Willing to undertake background checks
