Position: Regional Director; Corporate Sales

Reports to: Director of Sales; CEO

Position Summary:

Sells corporate products to business and industrial establishments or individuals by performing the following duties.

Education/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or a related field is not required, but is desirable.
  • Minimum of two-year sales or customer service experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to present to a diverse audience with poise and confidence.
  • Computer skills including experience with MS Word and Outlook.

Performance Duties:

  • Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from trade shows, direct mail responses, business directories, Internet Web sites, and other sources.
  • Makes outbound lead calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and e-mail to qualify leads and sell products and services.
  • Qualifies sales prospects and reports to management on probability of closing date and amounts, etc.
  • Closes sales opportunities.
  • Handles inbound sales lead calls to convert calls into sales.
  • Periodically travels to areas within assigned territory to meet with prospective customers when needed.
  • Overcomes technical and business objections of prospective customers.
  • Emphasizes salable features, quotes prices and credit terms to prospective customers.
  • Coordinates and/or performs customer training.
  • Builds and maintains customers relationships.
  • Maintains contact information and sales activities by creating and updating records in a relationship management system.
  • Investigates and resolves customer concerns.
  • Travels to and attends trade shows.
  • Requires some travel; 10% - 15%.
  • Strategic planning: analyzes work, sets goals, develops plans of action, and utilizes time effectively.
  • Communication: utilizes effective verbal and written communication.
  • Customer service: anticipates the needs of internal and/or external customers and offers solutions by demonstrating extra effort and maintaining a healthy attitude toward meeting customer needs.
  • Judgment: draws on core values, knowledge, and personal experience to make wise choices.
  • Effectiveness under stress: demonstrates the ability to think, function and lead effectively under conditions of mental pressure.
  • Self-renewal: demonstrates a commitment to intellectual growth in ways beneficial to self, peers and the company.
