An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and innovative Head of Department (Secondary) - Health and Physical Education and Business to lead the faculty at Townsville State High School.
As Head of Department you will lead curriculum focus in line withschool and departmental initiatives, participate in delivering the vision of State Schools Division and develop the quality of teaching and learning at Townsville State High School.
This role is offered on a full-time temporary basis, from 08 July 2024 until 16 September2024, unless otherwise determined.
This temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months.

- Lead the school department to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
