Administration Officer, Emergency ReliefEFT
45 hours per fortnight, maximum-term position until 30 June 2025
The Emergency Relief program provides financial assistance and material aid to households experiencing financial hardship or short-term crisis. Assistance can be in the form of vouchers for food or fuel as well as payments towards household expenses.
Specifically, the position is responsible for:
- Work with team to answer client phone calls to centralised 1800 phone number, on a daily basis, from 9.30am to 11.30am, and as required.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to Volunteers, on-site and remotely.
- Accurately enter completed ER Assessments into Client Management System (Penelope) within agreed timeframes.
To be considered for this position, applicants require:
- Demonstrated experience in the community services sector and preferably with certificate level qualifications in administration, social welfare or related field.
- Sound experience in effectively engaging with clients presenting in crisis with multiple, complex support needs.
- Sound experience in working within a dynamic team environment.

7.5 hours per fortnight, fixed-term position until 24 December 2024
The School Pastoral Care Worker is highly involved in the school community and supports the need of parents and staff, identifies and assists in referrals, promotes communication and cooperation between schools and families and ensures a high level of service quality and delivery.
Specifically, the position is responsible for:
- Be available as a listening ear to students, staff and parents referring them on when necessary
- Working with students, families and staff within the school setting to identify common areas of need
- Promote and enhance communication and cooperation between school and family.
To be considered for this position, applicants require:
- Tertiary qualification(s) in social welfare, social work or other equivalent fields
- Demonstrated experience in the engagement and development of therapeutic relationships with children and their families.
- Highly developed communication, interpersonal and facilitation skills, including the ability to confidently and concisely communicate with staff at any level of CatholicCare Victoria, allocated Schools and other health and community service organisations.

CatholicCare Victoria’s Youth Justice Community Support Service (YJCSS) is an integrated approach to the provision of intensive support and services to young people involved with Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS) Youth Justice Unit, to complement the statutory case management for clients assessed as requiring high to intensive level of intervention.
Specifically, the position is responsible for:
- To provide a flexible and intensive supervisory and support response to young people under statutory order including Youth Control Orders (YCO) and Intensive Bail (IB), by completing client assessment of support needs including risk assessment and safety planning.
- Outreach and engagement approach, provide a combination of centre based, outreach, after-hours, public holiday and weekend service and supports to ensure a flexible support response to young people.
- Provide supported referrals to a wide range of services including drug and alcohol, mental health and health services, housing, education, training, culturally and linguistically diverse and Aboriginal specific services and assist with transport needs as required.
- Participate in the development and implementation of group activities on weekends.
To be considered for this position, applicants require:
- Tertiary qualifications or work towards in Youth Work, Welfare, Social Work or relevant discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering service responses and interventions that promote a reduction in offending by young people.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Youth Justice system, relevant legislation and processes.
