Roto Pumps is a global organisation with over 50 years of expertise in proprietary manufacturing, technological innovation and design of progressive cavity pumps with a proven history of delivering sustainable fluid engineering solutions to thousands of customers in more than 40 countries worldwide.
Roto Pumps Australia have achieved success in a wide variety of Industries covering municipal (water, wastewater & sewage), general industry, winery, mining, pulp & paper, food process, sugar, marine, agriculture, oil & gas, petrochemical and OEM markets.
Reporting to the General Manager, your principal role will be to service existing Customers as well as developing new business opportunities within the states of Queensland and the Northern Territory. Development of long term client relationships is an important core requirement of this position and due to the Company product portfolio, mechanical aptitude would be highly regarded in order to achieve this aim.
The role will include building brand awareness and promoting the superior quality of the Roto Pumps product range to Consultants, Waste Water Contractors, O.E.M.s, Distributors as well as directly to key End Users of our Product and in order to be successful, the role requires you to devote a significant majority of your time travelling and calling on clients.
You will be supported in your efforts by a team of energetic, dedicated and hardworking sales support personnel including senior management.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Achievement of Sales Budget, Profitability and Sales growth within the states of Queensland and the Northern Territory
- Managing and understanding Customer requirements through close Customer interaction
- Promotion of sales of pumps and accessory equipment
- Presentation of Offers, answering Technical clarifications and closing new business deals
- Assist with the formulation and implementation of a Strategic Business Plan for the state.
- Perform technical presentations
- Work closely and effectively with the sales support personnel to maximise opportunities within the territory
To be successful in this role, you will be highly regarded if you have the following:
- Proven experience in territory sales management or business development in a related industry
- Proven experience in pumps, valves or mechanical related industry sales
- Formal trade, mechanical or engineering (mechanical) qualification
- Exceptional presentation, communication, negotiation, interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Exceptional planning, time management & organisational skills
- Energetic and enthusiastic personality with drive, passion including ambition to succeed
- Strong work ethic, self-motivated, career focused, results driven individual
