Job Title: Regional Sales Director - Australia & Indo-Pacific (Environmental Impact & Conservation Technology)

Reports To: US-Based CEO

Job Summary:

Faunatech, a global leader in wildlife acoustic monitoring solutions, is seeking a visionary and results-driven Regional Sales Director to spearhead our expansion and revenue growth in the Australia and Indo-Pacific region. This pivotal role, as part of the global leadership team, requires a seasoned sales leader with a passion for environmental conservation and the ability to build a thriving business while fostering collaboration within a global organization.

As the Regional Sales Director, you will be the driving force behind our sales strategy and execution. Your primary focus will be to identify and penetrate new markets, build strategic partnerships, and establish Faunatech as the premier provider of acoustic monitoring solutions across diverse industries, including mining, energy, infrastructure, and government agencies. This is a hands-on role where you'll be expected to leverage your experience in both large corporations and entrepreneurial settings to drive customer acquisition and revenue generation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Leadership & Growth:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for the Australia & Indo-Pacific region, aligned with the company's global growth targets.
  • Set and exceed ambitious revenue targets, significantly expanding market share and profitability.
  • Lead the regional sales team in identifying and prioritizing high-potential leads, including government tenders and enterprise-level opportunities.
  • Personally manage key accounts and strategic partnerships, ensuring high customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Market Development & Penetration:
  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging opportunities and untapped customer segments.
  • Develop and implement go-to-market strategies for new product launches and expansions into new territories.
  • Build strong relationships with key industry stakeholders, including regulators, policymakers, and influential organizations.
  • Team Building & Coaching:
  • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and results-oriented performance.
  • Set clear sales targets and provide ongoing coaching and support to ensure the team achieves its goals.
  • Sales Process Optimization:
  • Develop and implement scalable sales processes, including lead qualification, proposal development, and contract negotiation.
  • Utilize CRM and sales enablement tools to track progress, analyze data, and optimize sales performance.
  • Customer Advocacy:
  • Identify and develop customer advocates who can promote Faunatech's solutions and share their success stories.
  • Collaborate with marketing to create compelling case studies and testimonials.

Qualifications:

  • Proven Sales Leadership: 10+ years of sales leadership experience, with a demonstrated track record of building and scaling sales teams in new markets.
  • Global & Entrepreneurial Experience: Demonstrated success in both large multinational corporations and entrepreneurial environments, showcasing adaptability and a drive for growth.
  • Industry Expertise: Deep understanding of the environmental, mining, energy, or infrastructure sectors in the Australia & Indo-Pacific region.
  • Technical Acumen: Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and articulate the value of Faunatech's solutions to diverse audiences.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to analyze complex business problems, develop strategic account plans, and execute tactical initiatives to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and persuade at all levels of an organization.
  • Results-Oriented: Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving business growth in both established and emerging markets.
