The Role

We're looking for a Senior Payroll Officer to join our growing team dedicated to managing the delivery ofoutstanding end to endpayroll services to a diverse group of SME businesses who span many industries and states.

On a day-to-day basis you'll bededicated to handling payroll escalations, implementing process improvements, and managing a portfolio of customers to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. You'll be responsible for maintaining compliance, addressing client enquiries, and contributing to the overall efficiency of Visory's payroll function.

We are looking for someonewith a deep passion for payroll, who thrives on tackling challenges and finding optimal solutions for our clients and their employees. Previous experience in outsourced payroll is essential for this role.

On an average day, you can expect to:

  • Live in Employment Hero, Xero and the Visory platform
  • Manageend to end payroll processing for a portfolio of your own customers
  • Handle timesheets, process new starters, STP lodgements, super payments, develop payroll reports and complete other tasks that form part of the full sequence of a payroll function
  • Manage queries and requests, engaging with clients and employees on the Visory platform
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly
  • Analyse payroll processes and customer files to identify opportunities for optimisation andprovide recommendations for technology adoption and document changes
  • Work in partnership with the wider service delivery team including Customer Leads and Bookkeepers to ensure we are meeting SLA’s and delivering an exceptional customer experience

  • Has excellent problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail, thriving in a fast-paced environment
  • Has previously managed outsourced payroll processing
  • Possesses extensive experience with Employment Hero Payroll (KeyPay), and ideally, familiarity with Xero and MYOB
  • Holds thorough knowledge of payroll legislation, including NES and awards, and can autonomously manage deadlines and priorities
  • Excels in communication and problem-solving, with a meticulous focus on accuracy, while also being a collaborative team player with a proactive mindset, committed to continuous learning and staying updated on industry trends
