**What you’ll do**
In this role you will lead all aspects of the commercial activities for the franchise, including marketing strategy and execution, field promotional activities, empowering cross-functional collaboration, strong patient-centricity and an omnichannel approach. You will lead and develop a group of Sales People and drive/implement strong “key account management mindset”. Therefore bringing simplification and innovative ideas.
You will supervise the use of all market-data sources to develop the market models therefore ensuring the product strategies are optimized. To be successful you will ensure the strategic integration of our expanding portfolio and synergies and successfully identify, plan and exploit new and existing brands or trade opportunities to develop the business in line with the strategic direction.
Analyzing local market and competitive dynamics, incorporating new inputs and building local forecasts with solid understanding of P&L, assumptions, insights/trends and budget management will be key to deliver on P&L. Through close collaboration with cross-functional partners, you will drive the execution of the brand plans and KPIs. Planning, monitoring and reporting team activities in line with AZ standards to ensure KPIs are reached at national and regional level.
You will also lead multi-channel marketing mix and roll out key projects developed collaboratively across functions, including promotional material, congress activity, events, etc. And ensure mínimal variances vs budget by planning the marketing spend (current and future). This will include developing relevant communication and campaign material, managing external agencies and ensuring sign-off.
**Other responsibilities will also include**:
- Presenting our business results vs. budget, market understanding and insights to senior business leaders at all levels in the organization
- Leading, coaching, mentoring the team to ensure a professional development of each team member. Developing and supporting strong collaboration across teams and omnichannel experience for customers.
- Developing and managing relationships with KEEs in collaboration with medical and senior management. Working with government affairs partners, ensuring policy shaping activities and market access to support growth of portfolio
- Engaging proactively with global/regional teams and other markets to facilitate best practice
- Demonstrating business ethics and ensuring active respect of values, local laws, policies and marketing procedures.
**Essential for the role**
- Higher level education (e.g. Masters/PhD) in Science or Business
- Significant pharmaceutical commercial experience with a strong performance track record
- Strong senior marketing and senior sales leadership with a successful track record of growing market share as well as preparing for and successfully launching new products and brands. Creative marketing capabilities together with rigorous commercial business sense
- Excellent track record of managing and developing individuals and teams.
- Demonstrated driver of motivation and cross-functional teamwork
- Significant pharmaceutical experience
- Fluent in German & English
- High standards in ethical behaviour
- Strategic & Analytical skills
- Excellent Communication skills - verbal & written
