**Your future responsibilities**:
In this PhD position, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

- Develop a new interconnects & packaging concept for GaN devices to minimize parasitic loop-inductances.
- SiP & SiM integration for benchmark efficiency and power density.
- Microfabrication of interconnects for GaN devices.
- Characterization of power module parasitics both experimentally and theoretically using novel high frequency characterization methods.
- Multi-physics simulation of packaged GaN devices.
- Scientific publication and dissemination of your findings at relevant conferences & journals.

**Your profile**:

- Master’s degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering / Materials or Physics (or similar / equivalent).
- Good knowledge of power electronics (power devices, topologies)
- Experience with electronics laboratory equipment
- Experience with multi-physics simulation & FEM tools
- Experience with cleanroom environments (thin film deposition, SEM,..)
- Basic knowledge of microelectronics packaging and reliability analsis
- Fluent oral and written communication skills in English, knowledge of German is a plus
