The Lending Tribe inside Erste Digital is responsible for all specific lending systems for retail, corporate, leasing, factoring, and Bausparkasse businesses. This role will be driving the digital transformation of lending, enabling financial growth for millions.

We are seeking an IT leader to co-lead this tribe in close partnership with the Business Division “Product Management Lending”, Bausparkasse, Leasing, Intermarket Bank and the Backoffice Lending units.

As the Head of Lending (IT), you will lead with a customer and reliability focus, enabling your teams to deliver value while maintaining the highest standards. You will cultivate technical excellence and teaching, empowering sustainable growth through continuous learning. By bridging business and technology, you will drive quality through culture, building for the long-term with a focus on impact over mere activity.

**What to do**:

- Co-Lead the Lending Tribe with the Head of Product Management Lending of Erste Bank and partner with key stakeholders in Bausparkasse, Leasing, Intermarket Bank and Backoffice Lending to translate business strategy into technology solutions
- Strategic leadership of the Lending Tribe's IT roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives for growth, stability and innovation across Erste Holding, Erste Bank, Bausparkasse, Leasing, and Intermarket Bank
- Oversee the development, operation, and continuous improvement of the Austrian lending technology landscape
- Enable digitalization of lending products to significantly increase digital sales across all lending entities
- Drive end-to-end optimization of lending processes, with focus on straight through processing (STP), in close collaboration with the Retail & Corporate Journeys Tribe
- Lead and collaborate with software development teams and external vendors to deliver reliable, resilient IT systems
- Foster an engineering culture of operational excellence, continuous improvement and agile delivery
- Actively develop and lead high-performing, cross-functional teams

- Deep understanding of IT architecture, integration, and operations for banking/lending
- Strategic thinker who can define and implement a technology roadmap aligned with diverse business goals across Erste Bank and subsidiaries
- Excellence in building and maintaining relationships with business leaders, fostering joint management of the Tribe consisting of mixed teams
- Ability to lead and motivate integrated teams spanning business, IT, and external partners in a complex multi-entity environment
- Strong communicator who can translate between business and technical audiences
- Track record of delivering complex IT projects in highly regulated environments
- Familiarity with lending products, processes and systems across retail, corporate, leasing, factoring, and Bausparkasse is a strong plus
- Passion for building stable, secure and scalable platforms
