**Your personal sphere of influence**:
We are looking for a University Assistant (prae doc), limited to 4 years, in the Workflow Systems and Technology research group at the Faculty of Informatics of the University of Vienna under the direction of Prof. Han van der Aa.

The Faculty of Computer Science at the University of Vienna has world-leading researchers in computer science who conduct both basic and applied research. The UniVie Doctoral School Computer Science (DoCS) provides an essential framework for the promotion of excellence in research and teaching. It is primarily aimed at young aspiring researchers who want to make an impact in both basic and applied research in collaboration with the university and beyond. The DoCS aims to provide these young researchers with the broad knowledge and experience they need to conduct computer science research at the highest level. The Doctoral School trains doctoral students in solving fundamental as well as applied research questions of high relevance.

**Your future tasks**:
Participation in research, teaching and administration:

- Participation in research projects/research studies
- Participation in publications/academic articles/presentations
- Participation in teaching and independent teaching of courses as defined by the collective agreement
- Supervision of students
- Involvement in the organisation of meetings, conferences, symposiums
- Involvement in the department administration as well as in teaching and research administration
- The research should focus on Decision Mining in Process-Aware-Information-Systems

**This is part of your personality**:

- Master's degree or Diploma in Computer Science
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Teaching experience
- Experience in research methods and academic writing
- Experience in publishing in peer-reviewed publication media (i.e. journals and conferences)
- Experiences in presenting at conferences

Desirable qualifications are
- Knowledge of process mining
- Experience with process modeling (Petri nets, BPMN, etc.)
- Experience with tools such as ProM or Py4PM
- Research or teaching experience, e.g., as a student assistant
