OVERVIEW:
At Sportradar we’ve experienced a period of sustained hyper-growth through a highly focused strategy based upon industry product innovation. As a part of Sportradar's international Finance team, your contribution ensures the continuation of this trajectory.
Reporting to the Senior FP&A manager, working with and alongside other members of the finance function and supporting management teams, you maximize the value creation of the Sports Entertainment vertical by providing quantitative and qualitative analyzes.
The main goal of this role is to contribute to developing, transforming, and monitoring strategies, plans and KPIs of the Audiovisual and Marketing units. As the finance business partner you influence the financial, strategic and operational direction and decision making by providing data driven insights.

THE CHALLENGE:

- Combine your excellent knowledge in all finance-related topics with a deep understanding of business plans, positions and needs to support management with a deep impact on strategic and operational planning
- Support the creation and implementation of the overall financial planning & analysis framework of the Sports entertainment Vertical (people, processes and technology) improving the speed, accuracy, quality and transparency of financial results
- Lead the setup of Sports Entertainment reports in the new FMS and ensure we maximize the output also by setting up efficient workflows, system-first mentality appreciated, aiming to reduce needed workarounds
- Define and monitor the trends of KPIs and identify the cause of any unexpected variances, both relating to financial metrics such as sales, costs, and profit margin as well as process and performance efficiency
- Establish and lead the recurring P&L performance monitoring (monthly, quarterly, annually) through management reporting that identifies performance drivers and brings actionable intelligence to management
- Develop and continually improve budgeting, financial projections, and operating forecast
- Develop business cases and financial models illustrating investment opportunities in products & technology; spend control related to those projects and monitor performance on committed returns
- Revenue Controlling: Have a pulse on longterm as well as daily commercial operations of the business including but not limited to key customer pipeline and development, existing commercial concessions, upsell/cross-sell opportunities, pricing, etc. and lead analysis and insight into commercial development opportunities following key regional, product dimensions and other meaningful segmentation and clustering of the global customer base
- Cost Controlling: Drive cost controlling and optimization projects in order to drive productivity and efficiency in global resource allocation. Annalise and forecast cost trajectories and partner in finding and executing optimization potential

- Partner with the wider FP&A organization, BI team and data office team, people managers and business leaders to ensure an appropriate level of data quality for business insights and management information.
- Provide market context and competitive landscape and combine with internal insights to best influence strategic direction as well as tactical decision making.
- Support a range of different business units ranging from well-established to brand new/ startup-like business units and project teams in preparation, evaluation and validation of business cases and measure project execution
- Support and lead the implementation of a business intelligence tool and dashboard reports

YOUR PROFILE:

(Under)Graduate degree in Business, Accounting or Finance
- Strong emphasis on quantitative business process analysis skills and ability to establish relationships between resources and their drivers (within the Technology sector a plus)
- Demonstrated financial/operational analysis experience; P&L and Cash Flow with an emphasis on operational analysis of profitability drivers
- Proficiency with business planning techniques and related development of key performance indicators and systems of accountability for a large organization
- Demonstrated technological proficiency in harnessing large data-sets across enterprise systems and building scalable system-enabled models/reporting frameworks
- Fast understanding of business contexts and relations
- Outstanding analytical and quantitative skills; able to resolve business problems with well-structured analyses communicated in an effective manner
- Fluent in English (written and spoken), any other European language (in particular German) will be considered as a plus
- Expert-level financial/business modeling skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint
