**About the role**

The Senior MSL role is a field-based scientific expert within rheumatology / Osteoporosis therapeutic area and you are the leading local scientific expert for UCB in the therapy area. The MSL role includes scientific discussions, presentations and responses to unsolicited questions. Core content of these discussions will be topics of unmet medical needs which are of scientific / developmental importance to UCB in rheumatology/Osteoporosis and immunology. And your role includes scientific discussions, presentations and responses to unsolicited questions. Also you are involved in feasibility processes around new clinical studies and are the primary contact person for investigators interested in investigator-initiated research, donations, grants and is responsible for developing and executing the medical content of the local Eco-system plan. And you build local medical plans, adboards and arranging scientific symposiums.

**Who you’ll work with**:
As the Senior MSL you are the scientific discussion partner that interacts with national and international Thought Leaders (Key opinion leaders: KOLs), and other healthcare professionals (HCPs) at various phases of the product life cycle. You work externally and internally, and closely with an integrated team across functions. You like to work independently with a team player approach. And you report to the Field Medical Lead Rheumatology ALPs and Belgium.

**What will you do**:

- Agile and proactive identification and management of key scientific and medical influencers based on local ecosystem dynamics.
- Exploration and identification of new sources of patient value (innovative solutions and services) by placing the holistic disease burden of people suffering from chronic immune-mediated inflammatory diseases (IMIDs) high on health care´s agenda.
- Manage and generate product/ disease state data (Phase III/IV, IIS, audits, RWE etc.)
- Partners with key clinical Thought Leaders, payers, patient organizations and patients to advance medical initiatives, in defined clinical practice areas, to drive optimal patient care.
- Shares insights, innovation opportunities and patient needs internally to the LPVU, iPVU EU and Missions like e.g New Meds.
- Drives development of RWE in local eco-system and leverage the value to UCB solutions for patients to medical and payer communities.

**I**nterested?** **For this position you’ll need the following** **education, experience **and **skills**:

- MSc. within field of Immunology/Life Sciences, PhD in immunology is a big plus
- Excellent communication/presentation skills. Languages: Local language and English (written and spoken)
- Work experience as MSL + Launch exp, is huge advantage due to the seniority of the role. However, we will consider other backgrounds fitting the profile
- Proven track-record having worked with biologics within immunology and preferred rheumatology or Osteoporosis.
- Business acumen with a good understanding and holistic view on the healthcare ecosystem.
- Influencing skills, by building trust, staying consistent and being assertive in a considerate way
- Great project management skills
