Additionally, our expertise in signalling gives people and goods in Central and Eastern European markets, like Hungary, Bulgaria, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Macedonia, Croatia, Serbia and Albania, the connected journey they deserve. No matter how challenging the project, our 400 employees in Vienna stay by our customer’s side until the job is done - whatever it takes.
Procurement Project Manager (f/m/x)
Thales in Austria is a full system provider and global supplier of train control technology and traffic management systems (f. ex. European Train Control System (ETCS), Electronic interlockings, Operation Control Centers and dispatching systems).
Your CHALLENGE- Active participation in all our customer projects from the bid phase to project completion as well as in the make/team/buy decision in all product development projects- Supporting development projects from a purchasing perspective in the product development process- Product intake & outflow management in cooperation with development and product management departments- Selection and classification of suppliers in terms of risk management- Strategic supplier acquisition and regular evaluation/auditing of suppliers- Participation in ongoing reporting- Participation in the development and implementation of purchasing guidelines and processes- Close cooperation with R&D, Product Management, Quality Assurance- Global cooperation with the locations of the Group- Management of the supplier contracts: conception, creation & negotiation of new and existing contracts
Your PROFILE- 3+ years working experience in Procurement, Sales or Project Management- Completed higher education (FH, University) in engineering or commercial studies- Interest in railway and train control systems is beneficial- Experience in supplier contractual negotiations- Excellent negotiation and conversational skills- Good German and English skills are a must have- Good MS Office skills (especially in Excel)- Good team player within international procurement environment- Willingness to travel (10%)
We OFFER- The salary for this position ranges from € 55.000 to € 73.000 gross p.a.
