About the role
The Officer - Emergency Services (State & Territories) contributes to our strategic impact of supporting communities to prepare for, respond to and recover from disasters. Deliver Red Cross Emergency Redi workshops across South Australia as well as supporting one or more areas of emergency services work including operational requirements, project work, volunteer management and community development work. Intra-state travel will be a requirement for this role.
What you will bring
- Highly developed training and facilitation skills
- Ability to work with a broad range of stakeholders, including, but not limited to all levels of government, community members, not-for profit and the emergency management sector
- Develop and maintain project plans, documents, reports, tools, resources, and communications and provide effective advice and guidance to key stakeholders to ensure delivery of project milestones.
- Work to ensure compliance with Red Cross policy and relevant legislation to deliver on the effective management of project/s
- Assist in emergency operations (during and after response) as required
- Contribute to building and maintaining operational volunteer capability and capacity at all levels Provide guidance, support and advice to community groups, local organisations and councils
- A current Working With Children’s Check and driver’s license are mandatory

This role is covered by the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award - Level 4. Salary from $ 82,063.28 FTE + superannuation + salary packaging.
