Purpose of the role

In Global Blue the Shared Service organization provides centralized finance and accounting services to the Group.

We are registered on the NYSE and we are active in a dynamically growing industry, SOX compliance and continuous improvement is key for our success.

The Senior Accounting Manager works closely together with the local finance managers and other SSC teams and takes part in project work

There are 3 main responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and execute financial tasks and projects.- Train and develop team.- Drive process improvements and innovation

Responsabilities- Lead the Reporting teams, organize the work of Subject Matter Experts- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities on IFRS basis, ensure that the reporting timelines are met- Lead the annual statutory audits, support the team to achieve statutory reporting targets- Ensure SOX compliance, as a SOX control owner run timely and efficient internal controls, maintain process documentation and support SOX audits- Provide professional support to the team both in standard and complex accounting questions- Build a positive learning environment, focus on talent development and long term career path in Global Blue- Manage team performance with KPIs and SLAs- Provide project support to standardization and transformation projects

Skills and Competencies- Experience as Finance Manager or as SSC Finance Process Lead- Proven track record of managing finance teams- Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations- Hands-on management style- Focus on talent development and team engagement- Precise, structured, and success-oriented way of working- Customer focus- Able to think ahead in order to establish an efficient and appropriate course of action- Able to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of people

Qualifications and education requirements- Working experience in Finance in an international environment: 5-10 years- Leadership experience: minimum 5 years of leading finance teams- Degree in Business/Finance/Accounting or equivalent education- IFRS and SOX experience is a must- Fluent English is a must, other language knowledge is an advantage- Lean management or Six Sigma training is an advantage
