Post-Doc Process Science Peptide Manufacturing (f/m/d) - 3-years limited-2211946
**THE POSITION**
As of now, the Process Science Development Team of Boehringer Ingelheim RCV is seeking a talented Postdoc to strengthen our team’s vision to produce therapeutic peptide modalities recombinantly.
We are developing robust, high-yield production processes for microbial derived, recombinant biopharmaceuticals including process optimization and scale up to manufacturing. The scientific scope of the position comprises research in the field of bioprocess development with special focus on recombinant peptides and the analytical strategy, therefore. Emphasis will be given on purification processes, in-vivo and ex-vivo modifications of peptides, and development of our analytical toolbox.
**Tasks & responsibilities**
- Act as a scientific expert in development of new manufacturing processes, peptide modifications and respective analytical methods and partner with development teams to solve complex problems that require your technical skills
- Engage in experimental planning and subsequent execution, analyses, and interpretation of process data to develop new manufacturing solutions
- Prepare reports for running projects, proposals for new projects and drive implementation of your findings into routine process development as project leader and principal investigator
- Support process development team in regard to innovative technical solutions and take over the supervision of students and cross functional projects
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to evaluate manufacturability of next generation peptides
**Requirements**:
- PhD in Biotechnology, Bioprocess Engineering, Biochemistry or similar
- Experience in bioprocess development combined with practical skills in downstream unit operations (e.g. chromatography, filtration)
- Knowledge in analytical technics such as HPLC, CE, high throughput methods
- Know how in in

- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and ideally in German

The minimum gross annual salary according to the collective bargaining agreement for this position is EUR 56.000;
- (full time), although the actual salary is based on your technical skills and personal competencies as well as your professional experience.
