**Medical Excellence & Practice Change Lead**

**What you’ll do**

The Medical Excellence & Practice Change Lead supports the Austrian and Swiss Medical departments strategically and operationally to develop our ability and essential capabilities to form sustainable partnerships with HCPs, health systems and internal stakeholders enable clinical practice change - at scale. You will be collaborating with medical excellence peers and country medical teams to understand the internal and external environment dynamics at the regional and local level and related competency needs. You will also be accountable for the establishment and maintenance of training and capability building programs supporting the creation and execution of practice change solutions and propositions across the portfolio with internal and external partners. This position combines medical, organizational, operational, business excellence, healthcare environment knowledge and the understanding of medical strategic priorities with the purpose to support the department to generate mutual value and impact at scale. In this role you will be responsible for Austria and Switzerland, reporting to the Medical Director in Austria.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- ** Lead and enable continuously team and individual development towards future proof **Medical Affairs capabilities**:

- ** Identify** existing and upcoming **areas for skills and capability uplift** and translate them in training and continuous, personal **development plans, to meet key **impact** objectives**:

- ** Develop, maintain and deploy training and capability building programs for Medical**, incl. onboarding of new colleagues
- Co-develop, maintain and monitor** medical key impact indicators** (KPI’s)
- Contribute to and support the Medical (leadership) teams to **realize scalable Practice change solutions and propositions across the portfolio**:

- ** Collaborate and align with regional and global** Medical Excellence peers, country medical teams and a broad range of local cross-functional stakeholders as HR, Business units, Innovation and Business Excellence, Market Access
- ** Support the Medical Directors in **setting and evaluating** regional and national goals** and **priorities**:

- ** Be responsible for the Medical Excellence & Innovation Budget**.

**Essential for the role**
- Degree in life science area: Medical Doctor, pharmaceutical or biomedical degree or equivalent by experience
- A minimum of 6 years experience in the pharma industry, with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in an area relevant for this function (e.g. Medical Affairs, Sales & Marketing Management, Market Access, public affairs, Learning & Development and/or a health care analytics/services organization within the pharmaceutical industry).
- Experience in trainings and coaching,
- Strong leadership skills, ideally people management experience
- Patient and customer-focused approach, proven credibility and integrity in a medical environment.
- Eye for business with track record of strategic, analytic and conceptual thinking and acting
- Very strong communication and presentation skills with a relationship building capacity displaying the ability to listen to understand
- Ability to establish collaborative strategic working partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to facilitate and moderate open solution oriented discussions among key stakeholders
- Intentional innovation and thought leader, able to develop and lead others towards a common vision.
- Visionary with hands on & can-do attitude, strong execution skills, with attention to deadlines, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Proficient English speaker, German language will be a plus
