**Your profile ideally illustrates**
- Several years of experience in a lead position working in coalition on multi stakeholder engagement on UN policy
- Several years of experience in a lead position with an strong understanding of UN processes and policy around animals and animal welfare
- Several years of experience in a lead position in the coordination of internal and external mutli stakeholders with the ability to generate clear concise working notes and briefing updates
- Several years of experience as a team lead managing people, budgeting, finance tracking, legal compliance and an understanding of non-profit governance frameworks
- Experience in developing opportunities for the organisation to engage with decision makers
- Experience in coordinating various organisational work to track the opportunities for addressing the need to raise Animal Welfare as a topic for high level policy consideration
- Experience in coordinating organisation’s external coalitions/partnerships to track the opportunities for addressing the need to raise Animal Welfare as a topic for high level policy consideration
- Experience in supporting any administrative or operational requests or topics regarding legal, HR or finance
- Excellent English skills, written and spoken
- Great affinity to animal welfare and FOUR PAWS vision and mission

**Your contribution will be**

In this position as Global Affairs Programme Manager, you are responsible for the Global Affairs and Coordination Programme, content and staff. You work with the Director Global Affairs and Disaster Resilience on strategic and implementation topics. Furthermore, you contribute to the organisational High Level and UN activities on getting animal welfare into the language of the national, regional and global stage in policy and media. Coordination of Organisational Policy/Advocacy work with Quality Management to provide support for impact metrics and guidance on strategy and tactics.
- Being responsible for the programme including task allocation, timeline determination, budget
- and travel tracking
- Being able to align strategy to action for advocacy work to budgets
- Leading and participating on coalition working groups and internal working groups
- Developing a dashboard for monitoring UN activities against strategy and opportunities
- Producing regular activity reports on UN activities (UNEP, Agenda 2030, Post agenda 2030 strategy and animal welfare/sentience evidence building for development/implementation link to Sustainable Development and Peace & Prosperity/Our Common Agenda)
- Understanding and explain UN processes
- Writing and organising the unit’s and some of the organisation’s notes and reports on behalf of the Director
- Being responsible to support the Director with any organisational or animal welfare related topics
- Leading meetings, workshops, and trainings nationally and internationally with regards to policy and advocacy work, content, technical, logistic and administrative organisation
- Supporting the Director during budgeting and monitor the unit's budget in all programmes
- Using the tools of lobbying, campaigning, advocacy and diplomacy with member state representatives

- If employed in Austria: The yearly gross salary range for this position is EUR 53,000 - EUR 58,000 (full-time base, consisting of 14 payments) according to our internal compensation scheme.
