Electrical Engineering Leader for Mobility Innovation

We are seeking a seasoned Electrical Engineering expert to lead our team in Villach, Austria.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to join Infineon Technologies as a Director of Concept Engineering Technology Development for E-Mobility. As a key member of our technology development team, you will be responsible for driving innovation and excellence in SiC-MOSFET, Si-IGBT, and diode chip technologies across various sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a high-performing team of technical experts in developing cutting-edge power device technologies for electro-mobility.
- Set strategic technical direction in collaboration with your team to drive innovation in SiC and Si power device technologies.
- Hire and onboard new team members to support the growth and development of the team.
- Shape the future growth of the team aligned with the company's strategic objectives and market needs.
- Foster continuous improvement of development methods within the team and industry.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or similar field, preferably with a PhD.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in the semiconductor industry, preferably in chip technology development.
- A solid understanding of power electronic device physics, wafer technology development, and semiconductor processing.
- A proactive mindset with strong communication and moderation skills to align stakeholders.
- The ability to manage complex situations, consolidate, and present them effectively to senior management.
- Convincing communication skills and a connecting personality to work with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent English skills; German language proficiency is a plus.
