Electrical Engineering Director for Power Device Development

We are seeking an exceptional Director of Electrical Engineering to lead our power device development team at Infineon Technologies. This role presents a unique opportunity to shape the future of mobility and contribute to the growth of our company.
About the Role- Lead Technical Expertise: Develop and implement innovative technologies for SiC-MOSFET, Si-IGBT, and diode chip development across various Infineon sites.
- Technical Direction: Collaborate with your team to set technical direction in the field of SiC and Si power device technologies for electro-mobility.
- Talent Acquisition and Development: Hire and onboard new team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Team Growth and Strategy: Shape the future growth of your team, aligning with the strategic needs of the electro-mobility market and global development teams.
- Stakeholder Management: Effectively manage interfaces with various stakeholders within ATV and across departments.
- Development Methodologies: Foster continuous improvement of development methods within your team and the greater development community.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Education: A degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or similar fields, preferably with a PhD.
- Experience: At least 8 years of relevant working experience in the semiconductor industry, preferably in chip technology development.
- Technical Skills: A solid understanding of power electronic device physics, wafer technology development, and semiconductor processing.
- Soft Skills: Proactive mindset, strong communication and moderation skills, ability to understand and structure complex situations, and convincing communication skills.
- Language Skills: Excellent English skills, German as a plus.
