Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Master Thesis Researcher to join our team at Boehringer Ingelheim RCV GmbH & Co KG. The successful candidate will work on a project focused on computational identification of cancer targets, utilizing large patient datasets and innovative data integration strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mining and annotating large cancer patient and cell line datasets
  • Establishing and utilizing computational methods to identify cancer drug targets, biomarkers, and combinations thereof
  • Documenting results, analysis scripts, and pipelines using Atlassian tools such as Bitbucket
  • Presenting results within the Department
Requirements
  • BSc Degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related field with first experience in Bioinformatics
  • Hands-on experience with programming languages such as R and Python
  • First experience with command line programming and experience in using Atlassian stack/Bitbucket or Github is a plus
  • Precise and reproducible work- and documentation-style
  • Fluent in English and good communication skills

The minimum gross annual salary according to the collective bargaining agreement for this position is EUR 38,160.22 (full time), although the actual salary is based on your technical skills and personal competencies as well as your professional experience.
