We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Expert to join our team at the American Embassy in Austria's General Services Office.

Job Description

The successful candidate will serve as one of two Contracting Specialists, responsible for negotiating and preparing formal solicitations and contracts for various acquisitions. This role involves direct collaboration with Washington Global Acquisition procurement and contracting experts.

The incumbent will be responsible for all pre-solicitation activities, solicitations, offer evaluations, final negotiations, and contract awards. Additionally, they will serve as the main contact point for external contractors and suppliers throughout the entire contract cycle.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 2 years of post-secondary studies in business, management, logistics, contracts, supply chain management, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of work experience in purchasing/contracting is necessary.
  • A strong working knowledge of business management, economics, acquisitions, and negotiation strategies is essential for evaluating and sourcing goods and services from local, regional, or international supply chains.
  • Fluency in German and English is mandatory.
  • High-level competency in MS Office Suite is required.
