Job Summary

The Technical Operations Assistant will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of IT-related activities such as IT infrastructure, desk-side support, and client management. This role will act as an interface between business and core IT teams, maintaining IT service levels and supporting clients' PCs and IT infrastructure environment on a daily basis. The successful candidate will ensure that IT standards are followed and executed, assist in new IT roll-out and integration of business applications, and handle desk-side support. Additionally, this role will help end-users with office software and hardware-related issues and problems by providing technical expertise, act as a communication interface between regions and the IT organization concerning IT-related issues, and address IT-specific issues and problems to the IT organization for finding solutions. The Technical Operations Assistant will also integrate and maintain hardware and other computer equipment into an asset management system.

Responsibilities

- Maintain IT service levels and support clients' PCs and IT infrastructure environment on a daily basis
- Ensure that IT standards are followed and executed
- Assist in new IT roll-out and integration of business applications
- Handle desk-side support
- Help end-users with office software and hardware-related issues and problems by providing technical expertise
- Act as a communication interface between regions and the IT organization concerning IT-related issues
- Address IT-specific issues and problems to the IT organization for finding solutions
- Integrate and maintain hardware and other computer equipment into an asset management system

Requirements

- Graduate of a relevant technical college (HTL) or equivalent, or 5 years equivalent experience
- Working knowledge of network infrastructure including IPV4, IPV6, DHCP, DNS, and VLAN
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English and German language
- Ability to prioritize and have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Intellectual curiosity with clear and logical way of approaching tasks
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as moving or lifting a computer
- Strong customer service ethic and ability to collaborate in a team as well as cross-functionally
