Field Service Engineer

As a Field Service Engineer at Emerson, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our customers' process systems. Your primary responsibility will be to perform maintenance tasks, evaluate system performance, and provide technical support to customers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing control system maintenance tasks and evaluating system performance.
  • Providing technical support to customers and resolving issues related to process systems.
  • Conducting system acceptance tests, installations, commissioning, training, fault analysis, and rectification work at customer sites.
  • Assisting in design studies, hardware and software upgrades, and modifications.
  • Executing all work, including repairs, installations, and training, in accordance with guidelines and certifications, to meet customer deadlines and expectations.
  • Providing emergency call-out services to ensure fast and efficient support to customers.
  • Communicating customer satisfaction issues or requests for Emerson support to the responsible person in Service Management or Sales Management.
  • Growing the Systems Service business, particularly service contracts, Guardian, and DeltaV Add-on packages.
  • Assisting in projects, system setup, and software changes.

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be an integral part of our team, working closely with colleagues to achieve our goals. To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A technical college-level degree and relevant experience in the process industry, such as biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, oil and gas, or refineries.
  • Good communication skills and proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Availability to work non-office hours and perform call-out services, if applicable.
  • Openness to working offshore, if necessary.
  • A valid driving license for a car.
