Strategic Finance Assistant to the Vice President of Continuous Improvement

About the Role

At Magna International Europe GmbH, we are seeking a highly organized and proactive Finance Project/Technical Assistant to support the Vice President of Finance, Continuous Improvement in managing the Finance Transformation Portfolio. This role combines program management, project execution, and executive communications to oversee the Finance Transformation Portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a detail-oriented approach and a hands-on attitude, who can balance big-picture thinking with meticulous attention to project details.

Your Responsibilities

Support the VP Finance, Continuous Improvement

  • Collaborate with various Functional Departments such as Magna IT, HR, Finance, and Magna Groups and Divisions to assist the VP Finance in operational tasks.
  • Prepare management presentations in English, tailored for executive audiences.

Project Management

  • Monitor and report on project progress, proactively identifying and mitigating risks to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Track project milestones, risks, and key deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain reporting dashboards to provide the VP Finance and executive stakeholders with up-to-date insights on project progress and outcomes.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, IT, and Operations, to ensure seamless program execution.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • University degree in Finance, Business Administration, IT, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in Finance functions of large corporates or relevant experience in the consulting sector.
  • Solid understanding of project management approaches, with experience working on cross-functional projects.
  • Proficiency in project management tools, preferably Asana, and data visualization software (e.g., Power BI) is a plus.
  • Strong skills in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and MS Teams).
  • Fluent in German and English (verbal and written).
