Project OverviewThe project involves the investigation of an all-wheel steering system for a battery truck using simulation. The goal is to improve the vehicle's dynamic behavior and handling. The project is divided into three parts:
- Model setup with accurate parameters and definition of driving maneuvers with front-wheel steering system.
- Measurement and postprocessing of vehicle data with conventional steering system, followed by fine-tuning of MBS model parameters.
- Extension of the existing model by all-wheel steering system at rear axle, including parameter variations and optimization of dynamic behavior.
As a thesis researcher, your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing a multi-body simulation model for the battery truck.
- Conducting driving maneuvers and analyzing the results.
- Fine-tuning MBS model parameters and optimizing the dynamic behavior of the vehicle.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Ongoing study in the field of mechanical engineering.
- Excellence in mechanics and mathematics.
- Basic skills in multibody systems (preferably Adams).
- Capability to work independently.

The successful completion of the thesis is remunerated with a one-time fee of EUR 3,500.-- before tax.
