We are currently seeking an Instrumentation and Process Control Engineer (m/f/d) to join our Electric & Automation department in Vienna.

Your Responsibilities

  • Implement electrical solutions for process instrumentation in collaboration with process engineers, focusing on flow sheets (P&ID) for the metals sector.
  • Define specifications for instruments and develop corresponding process functional descriptions.
  • Select and size (field) instrumentation equipment tailored to process requirements.
  • Participate in HAZOP and SAFETY assessments, providing support to all stakeholders in multinational projects.
  • Enhance and maintain existing solutions while innovating new approaches for the technical and economic optimization of systems and processes.
  • Contribute to the internal knowledge management system related to process engineering.
  • Conduct testing and commissioning of systems, along with training and guidance for international clients in various settings.

Your Qualifications

  • Completed technical education (college or university) in electrical engineering, automation technology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in instrumentation and process control.
  • Familiarity with European and international standards and guidelines (IEC, NEMA / UL) is advantageous.
  • Proficient in modern instrumentation engineering tools; knowledge of COMOS is a plus.
  • Analytical mindset with a structured and solution-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work independently and responsibly.
  • Strong communication skills and intercultural awareness.
  • A collaborative team player, adaptable to working in international project teams.
  • Proficient in English (B2 level) with additional language skills being beneficial.
  • Willingness to travel internationally (10-20%).
